I recently had a dream about a man who had cut off his body in an act of self-protection, leaving him as a disembodied head. I palpated the flap of flesh that remained below his neck, feeling both its resistance and its yielding. Your writing adds a new layer of interpretation to my dream, not only about my own masculine energy but also that of the collective: disembodied yes, but waiting to be felt and massaged back to life.
This is the best piece, to me, of your writing! So centered, so full, so truthful. Bringing us into that aliveness of ourselves and all around us. In my dreamtime I saw a massive, moist, black tree trunk. From higher up, above, came streams of liquid pouring down. And I heard "The Mother keeps on giving". After that, I wondered if that liquid might be maple syrup, so I looked up the word sap. Here is the definition - "Tree sap is a vital fluid that transports water, nutrients, and sugars throughout a tree, similar to blood in humans. It's primarily composed of water and also contains minerals, hormones, and sugars produced during photosynthesis. The sap rises in the spring due to increased water uptake through the roots and rising temperatures, which create pressure within the tree." With more reading I learned that sap can be maple syrup, and it also protects the tree. Thank you ever so much, Rob! I'm tuned in to finding those zesty revelations you mention in my horoscope for this month!
