The rabbi at my Rosh Hashana service said something quite similar--nothing we are doing in the moment can change what is happening there right now. What we can do is make sure that the most amount of people are protected and able to demand rights and freedoms for the most vulnerable. This includes all of the most vulnerable people alive in the world. We can't do that if we ourselves are not able to do so. It's gotta be Kamala all the way.
