This Capricorn is partial to picking up pennies, which are now a rarity to find in Canada since they were taken out of circulation I think over a decade now, but I will pick up any coin that I see unless it isn't physically safe to do so. There's a story about the pennies -- a late husband always picked them up "for good luck" {as I was also taught to do as a child}. Shortly after his death I happened to walk along a sidewalk that had dozens of pennies strewn upon it, and stopped to pick them all up. Still have them and think of him every time I come across one anywhere.
I was pulling out of a parking lot at a university a few decades ago and there had been deep snow which had recently melted. As I was getting in the car, I noticed there were quarters, nickels, and dimes on the ground under the parking meter, so I picked them up and then realized that every meter in the lot had money around it. I spent almost an hour picking up coins and when I counted them, I had acquired over $40. Unfortunately, I drove to a city park so I could take a walk before going home and someone broke into my car (I had my purse and my bookbag in the trunk) and they stole everything! So I not only lost the money, I lost my textbooks and had to have the car door lock repaired where they got in. It was fun picking up the coins though. ☹️
Spring … armada of helpers. Loving the sound and sight of that… beauty all around. AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18): The coming weeks will be an excellent time to begin a building project on the scale of Egypt’s Great Pyramid or India’s Taj Mahal. You should at least initiate work toward some magnificent masterpiece or creation, Aquarius. According to my analysis, there’s a chance you could coax an armada of helpers to work on your behalf. And as you set out to accomplish your labor of love, I bless your quest.” From one very beautiful woman
A sweet balm to my witchy feminine soul. To share these works lifts us up, honors our wise wyrd beauty, and brings tiny crystal tears. But now this Gemini goes looking for the monster in my closet! 🤷♀️Thank you, Rob, for being you.
This piece names something astrology has a vocabulary for that gets underused. Saturn returns at 29 and 58 are the recognized maturation gates, but the second Saturn return is where the elder-as-archetype actually crystallizes. It is when the chart structural lessons stop being a conversation about identity and start being lived without performance. The Chiron return at 50 is the other doorway, the one that asks the wound to become a teaching. Both are why many traditions reserve the title of elder for people who have crossed both. Most beauty culture skips the entire arc.
“To recognize this kind of beauty requires a shift in perception. It asks us to move from a gaze of consumption to a stance of reverence.” This change comes with patience and time. I love how you have equated this gaze to reverence.
As a 58-year-old woman who is just now discovering and truly enjoying her authentic self—and finding connections with other like-minded women—I really enjoyed reading this.
Just yesterday, I was talking with someone about how, in advertisements—even for things like guide dog use—you always see the same type of person. They have perfect posture, bright smiles, polished clothing, and often a fancy degree, impressive job, or some other form of “credible standing.” What you don’t see are everyday people.
You don’t see the ones out here raising families, figuring out transportation so their sighted son can get to football practice, or simply living full, complex lives. And let’s be honest—those “everyday” women are anything but ordinary.
Bless you for recognizing that.
I didn’t mean to go off on a tangent, but it’s so refreshing to see someone truly acknowledge this.
"Their lives haven't been optimized for legibility."
I'm letting myself sit with that line.
Toni Wolff wrote about the medial woman, the archetype least visible in Western culture, most likely to be wounded by it, most likely to carry wisdom that doesn't translate into the dominant culture. I've spent years becoming illegible to the world I came from. Leaving the family system, the academic career, the endless jockeying for status.
What I didn't expect was that the illegibility itself would turn out to be the credential. These women's faces know something. You can see it.
Hi Rob, cancer moon child here. Thank you for reminding and showing us a little light-hearted levity and frivolity is not only allowed it is encouraged and highly recommended for our sanity and well being. Like the 3 point suggestions and am taking them to heart. I am dead heading old useless baggage and looking forward to tripping the light fantastic at some point in time. I'll put it on my list. Thank you dear soul. Much love.
11/13/1975 checking in, Mighty purveyor of the star’s granular details.
As usual, your lessons and wayshowing have provided insight that I was not paying attention to. I am so grateful that you answered that classified request looking for an astrologer, lo, all those sacred years ago.
Pronoia has never been more necessary and vital than it is today. Thank you for being a founding merchant providing it’s abundance and style.
11/13/1975 here again. Such a benevolent trip to be able to communicate with one whom I have looked up to and trusted to guide me for decades…..
I am the Program Registrar for the San Francisco Zen Center. I have just started a monthly Poetry Open Mic and the first one is this Friday!
It’s on 300 Page st. in the heart of SF. Homemade pizza will be served at 6:30 and the festivities begin at 7:30pm. I would ADORE the opportunity to feature you there in any incarnation.
We also have Green Gulch Farm, which is 180 acre organic farm leading to the ocean in the Muir Woods. Alan Watts’s ashes are there, he loved it so much.
We also have Tassajara which had a Zenifit around 60 years ago that featured Janis, the Dead and Allen Ginsberg to raise the capital for us to buy Tassajara.
We also opened up Greens Restaurant back in 1978 or so.
You might know all of this, but I wanted to welcome you to think of how you could utilize us with your brilliance through maybe a workshop, a class, a retreat , or an online program. I could connect you with all of the holders of the keys that could manifest your potential dreams of spreading your incredible message into actualization. They are my friends. I have been employed here for over 10&1/2 years. MANY connections!
Finally, I want to present to you my latest spoken word piece. Maybe you could feature a slice of it a decade from now? I am absolutely at your service in any way, shape, or form. Please consider me a humble apprentice.
what does this mean? how is this interpreted? such gloom & gloom in a riddle...thanks. Gemini Jo...GEMINI (May 21-June 20): One of your go-to tools or assets is still functioning, but now is exactly the time to repair or refurbish it—before it breaks. Furthermore: A power outage of sorts may be looming unless you move to head off an impending overload. Wait, there’s even more! The monster in your closet is still deeply asleep, which is why now is the perfect moment to summon an exorcist or exterminator, before it stirs. Are you getting the picture, Gemini? The very fact that you’re reading this horoscope gives you all the advance warning you need to sidestep potential glitches and diversions.
be proactive in addressing potential problems and they may not become problems. I see no gloom and doom at all in that prescription; "The very fact that you’re reading this horoscope gives you all the advance warning you need to sidestep potential glitches and diversions."

I have personally had eight Capricorn friends who have never picked up pennies.
