Rob! Wow! What an incredibly empowering article and collection of resources! I am restacking and emailing it to my peeps. You are amazing. 🙏✨😘Just one thing to add to your fabulous list of suggestions is: Redirecting/harnessing the intense energy of emotions.
My poem “Channel It!” went viral here. I’m glad it is touching people. It’s all about how can we channel the energy of rage and fear into something beautiful and healing. I’ll put it in a separate comment here in case you want to check it out.
Thanks again for this piece. I have a feeling I’ll be rereading it often because there’s a lot of information here, in a good way. Here’s to resilience and strength as we stand strong together!
After all these years, I can still depend on you for poetic inspiration and sage advice! Thank you! And thank you for the dose of reality in the face of all the doublespeak of the downward authoritarian slide we have leaped onto.
This was one of the most expansive and grounded calls to action I’ve read all year.
What stood out most to me is how you balance spiritual invocation with practical resistance. The reminder that “every dollar is a seed” and “every small act matters” feels like medicine right now, especially when the scale of destruction can feel overwhelming. The three-step ethical shopping guide is gold—I bookmarked that.
Also deeply moved by the Howard Zinn quote: “To live now as we think human beings should live… is itself a marvelous victory.” That one’s going on my wall.
Thank you, Rob, for reminding us that activism can be soulful, poetic, and even joyful. You give permission to care fiercely and keep our hearts open. Grateful for your voice in these times.
Btw, I interviewed Miranda years ago when she did her "The Swan Tool" video/performance and Richard brought my last book, on ecosomatics, to Inner Traditions. We have a few folks in common. Continue your good work. So necessary in these times.
I will look into your book on ecosomatics. Sounds intriguing! I wonder if you know my psychotherapist Leslie Davenport, who writes extensively on how the climate affects us personally and what we can do about it.
Glad to have another reader. Thank you. I don't know Leslie Davenport's work but will look into it. Next Spring, I'm supposed to teach a new class I designed, Ecosomatics and Dance.
Extraordinarily grateful for you. No table dancing for this sea-goat--but watch out for everything else :D

NO KINGS!
Two Centuries and 50 years ago
People of diverse circumstance
braved vast Ocean’s chaotic mystery,
chanced unknowable dangers,
to gain release from those
who would chain their destinies;
to escape
a world enmeshed in hierarchic
lines defined by brutal histories,
power maddened monarchies;
became awakened to take a stand,
demand freedom to create their own
ennobled lives.
A people with hard won wisdom to believe,
the righteous course for humanity,
to honor each as sacred selves
while interacting loyal family,
requires solid resolve
expressed loudly, plainly, repeatedly,
proudly:
No Kings!
No power obsessed sovereign
cruelly to destroy hopes and will
No self-entitled right to rob, rape, kill,
enslave, incarcerate, instill divisive hate,
chill any possibility of rebellion
once let in to over rule.
The time is Now to rise together,
do whatever we each can do
to further, to improve our never ending
fight, to keep long-cherished
liberty
“No Kings!”

Just bought your book, Ecosomatics. Thanks for writing it, Cheryl.

Wonderful resources, and extremely motivating suggestions, Rob. I'm very thankful for you, and for all that you do.
Good list! I am now subscribing to The Economist (even Brit/Euro conservative editors are critical of events so I see balance there) and Science News.
Thank you Rob for all you do.
Excellence as your usual and thank you!!
thanks Rob for your help and wisdom
Wisedom, light, thru the shadows ... I see it
Grazie per tutti gli spunti forniti su cui documentarsi
Thank you for lifting us up and shining a light on the path forward, Rob. I, too, am extraordinarily grateful for you!!
