Robert, you have spoken a beautiful truth. Chemistry can give you a glimpse, a cheap preview of the palace, but it leaves you a beggar at the gates when it fades. The helicopter cannot make the mountain your home. Only through absolute awareness, through your own legs walking the path, does the transformation become yours forever. But remember: when you finally reach the summit by your own feet, you realize there was no mountain, and no one who climbed it. Just the open sky💖🙏🏻🪷
Morning Rob... really liking the short list of robust access to altered states. I was trying to quantify my efforts sort of spreadsheet style to see if I was getting in as many as I could get in on a daily basis. I abandoned that effort and then considered what things on the list could I complete independently without waiting or convincing anyone else to join in. Take note, I also purchased your book this morning especially after the introduction to the SOUL TEAM . I look forward a writing a review and receiving my book in the mail SOON. My grands the oldest three are grateful I will read the book first without gifting them a copy or even a recommendation. I no longer enjoy disturbing their choices on alternate states preferring to live by example, They already love me while filing me as as grams and their local weird ELDER! Have a good day. All prayers heard and answered instantly.
I'm still a daily stoner with a wake-and-bake regimen, and thank God and Goddess both for the legalized framework by which brilliant weed scientists have helped me pinpoint precisely where my sweet spot lies. (Gelato 41 lands directly on Ground Zero.) To me, the ability to do this legally is a true mark of civilization.
That said, your helicopter metaphor is stunningly apt, and is why I let go of LSD nearly forty years back on my 69-year-long journey to date. As Alan Watts said, "Once you get the message, you hang up the phone." As such, I enter each day gleefully pre-psychedelicized for life.
And so it is with weed, who's been a fun and faithful companion on a journey that involves daily writing, music, acting, improv, comedy, laughter, dancing, and a near-constant flow state transcendence that extends through the washing of dishes and other joyful life-maintenance tasks.
But I know that it's a luxury I grant myself, not a thing I actually need. As another great mind, Iggy Pop, once said, "You don't need to be stoned to think stoned thoughts." So should I ever have to wave goodbye to that luscious flaming flower, the decades of training in flow state play will get me to this life's finish line just fine. (And then ON TO THE NEXT!)
Finally, as always, THANK YOU for your wonderful weekly guidance. All my advice for sun, moon, and rising hit right on target. And the Frippian guitars in your lovely musical selection were a great way to start the sonic day. You're truly a gift that keeps on giving. THANKS!!!
I also did a lot of drugs in my late teens and early 20s (thankfully I had wisdom to say I'll keep the heorin for when in old and decrepit) and my journey in sobriety (9 years now) is where the real freaks are at haha. I remember my first exposure to a sober dance floor at an aa convention and how revelatory that was! I've only got wyrder and more magickal as I walk this path, raw dogging the amazing wonders of reality 😜
Beautifully written. You put into words my hesitancy to use adjunct methods to access wisdom beyond my structured barriers, and the journey of forging my own key is a more enduring, gentle way to unlock the door.

Thank you for your voice. Pronoia is a powerful book that I deeply appreciated. If we don’t pierce the veil, it will pierce us.
