Raised strictly Irish-Catholic with the belief that suffering is necessary( martyrdom, saints’ hardships,hair shirts etc) and honorable and valuable, I continue to flush it from my underbelly and am embracing the awareness you share that joy is necessary for our vitality. We can hold that compassion ongoing for so much suffering while being uplifted by birds’ joyful Springtime songs! Great newsletter!
