"Here's my understanding of the strongest, truest version of love: I express it by neutralizing the evildoers who threaten our common good. I fight against them, find ways to counteract them, and work diligently to strip away their power." I have long struggled with this, so thank you -- now I know how to counter the argument in favor of trying to neutralize evil with understanding/love.
"Love everyone" simply means "Hate no one" It is nothing but a natural response as in nature where an act that may lead to more life to all is rewarded while an act that reduces life is punished. Nature wants to live and flourish; it will do anything to do so. Anything done against this is met with devastating harm. There's no hate involved, it is survival and greater life to all! So too, we also should look at everyone with this same kind of "love everyone" no hating anyone but rewarding or punishing any act as required for the greater good of all. That's "love everyone" in my opinion.
